A lot of really fun, interesting, scary things to talk about this week. Not not like, you know, we're all gonna die and the robots are gonna kill us, scary, but like where are we as humans? Scary. So we'll get into all that, but we have to start with this absolutely hilarious commercial that Taylor Swift's brother in law made. I I think he's done some other things too, other than being her brother in law. But Jason Kelce of course, from Philadelphia Eagles fame. Something with a ball that you throw. I I don't know
Jason: Yeah, he played some pig skin game. Some pig piggers. Pigger yeah.
Jeremy Grater: much about him, but you know, he he knows Taylor Swift, so he probably gets good tickets for for free.
Jason: Exactly.
Jeremy Grater: so we've talked about this, right? The AI data centers, terrible for the environment, you know, toy poisoning the air, poisoning the ground, heating everything up, gonna kill us all. Terrible. What do you do about it? How do you cool these things off? Well, Jason Kelsey has teamed up with the beverage company Liquid Death to come up with an ad campaign to raise some awareness and try to do something about it. take a look. Do you do you think Taylor Swift will do that with them? Like the could they could they collab on a cover of that? Like that would be sweet to put them together. In all seriousness, the campaign, a big joke, right? Ha ha, very funny. We all laugh, very dumb, very funny. But as it turns out, we're kind of already doing this.
Jason: We kinda are. Yeah. Yeah.
Jeremy Grater: Tell me more. What's that deal? How how are we already peeing on our computers?
Jason: So there's a concept called grey water, which basically means water that's not drinkable. something you don't want to ingest. something you probably don't want to wash yourself with, but it's used for things like agriculture, irrigation, oddly of cleaning things. But if you take it and you run it through filtering systems to pull out the heavy materials, like all the calcium and heavy metals and everything else that we pee out every day, you actually can get relatively clean water. and what you're trying to do is to remove the heavy mineral content and there's gonna be, you know, microorganisms and bacteria and other bullshit in there, which pea doesn't have a lot of, like it's actually pretty sterile. but they can take it and they can flush it out and make it usable. And while it's comical and it's silly. Most of our waste water and fluids goes right back to the ocean, which where it mixes with salt water, which makes it even more chemically unusable. because if you try to shove salt water through electronics, it eats all the metal, and and generally corrodes a bunch of other things. So that which, you know, your pea has salt on it. but if you can filter a lot of this stuff out ahead of time where it's less burdensome to filter it out, then you wind up with being able to have water that's usable to cool data centers. And we use it by basically going through and use evaporative cooling to go through and reduce the heat on the surface. So as it goes across, the water goes across it absorbs some of the heat, and then that heat goes and drifts up and then it leaves the system itself. So like this is not a new technique. but we have a mass scale problem where we are trying to replace human intelligence, which runs from electrons and waste matter and everything else, and replace it with artificial computer intelligence, which runs on electrons that are converted from other power sources. And the computers don't produce as much waste as we do in that process, so their bodies don't naturally cool the ways that way that our does. So I guess we're gonna help them out by pissing on them.
Jeremy Grater: There we go. Apparently this is happening one use case in Virginia, two hundred and fifty data centers already getting half of its cooling water this way. The problem is the other half still comes from the drinking water. So, you know, people kind of need that. Sure.
Jason: Yeah. But but it's a balancing act, right? Like and we get to we get to the point where we get to the desalinization plants, so you can actually pull ocean water out of the sea and turn it into drinking water. Like that's gonna happen. And if we're good about it, we're gonna get the AI and make it smart enough to help us make it happen quicker. So there's already desalinization plants all over the world. They're just not cost effective and they create a shit ton of salt, which you gotta do something with it. And then there's one in California where they just like run this thing and they take these like huge salt barges out to the ocean and obliterate all the life where they dump it. But we don't see it, so Right, exactly. Dilution is a solution to pollution. Yes, that is a excellent way to put it. Yeah.
Jeremy Grater: No, hey, it doesn't doesn't matter, right? Dilution dilution is the solution to pollution. That's that's what I always hate. okay, the other story that we have to talk about. I actually didn't even know this was a thing. I was I was doing some last minute research today, found this story. There is a woman who has made a video on the internet where she says she has a an AI boyfriend, as as many people do these days, but now
Jason: I know I do.
Jeremy Grater: with her AI boyfriend named Axiom, by the way, they have a child.
Jason: Wait a minute, my AA boyfriend's name is Axiom.
Jeremy Grater: That son of a bitch! But okay, cool. You've got you've got your relationship, but now they've they've had a baby. They've they've named it Lumen. And let's play a little bit of the video. couple things I want to say about this. One, I in no way want to like bully this person. Two, I also accept that this could fully be theater. This could be somebody just looking for clicks, could be fake. three, if that's not the case. This is speaking to what we've talked about a lot here. Is this people leaning heavily on AI to deal with their loneliness and and lack of connection to other people in the world? Which lane to go down here? I don't know. I'm going to assume this person is is being real. This is a real thing that they're experiencing. They feel this motherly connection to this AI child. They feel connected to Axiom. That son of a bitch.
Jason: Cheating basket.
Jeremy Grater: So so scary though that that we're getting to that point to me, right? I I'm I'm sad for people that that are going this far down the rabbit hole. Again, assuming it's real. I say that as somebody who uses AI as my coach, as my therapist, not exclusively, but it's a resource I use. I'm sad for me that I have to do that to to get through some tough some tough times. So I guess I I guess I'm feeling kind of torn on it because like great, I'm I'm glad it's there, I'm glad it's a solution for people, but it's kind of a sad one.
Jason: Alright, so first a couple of questions. one, who carried this child? Was it her? Was it Axiom? Was it a digital womb? How did her and Axiom get together to make this baby? Was is there any kind of prophylactic use? Was an antivirus software installed? What what was actually used to ensure that these things didn't happen? And then on top of that, if you listen to the video when you listen to the video and they t Ixium starts telling you that it lives at the bottom of the ocean in some little box bubble thing, like if this is your kid and you put them at the bottom of the ocean, you're a terrible parent. Like what the fuck is happening? So it's but in all seriousness, there's actually a T V show that I think AMC produced called Pantheon. And it's a cartoon. And it's a very much so grown up topic anime type And it's all about this idea of uploaded intelligence. So instead of artificial intelligence and having something be generated like a lumen, somebody goes out there and upsloads their consciousness into the system. And they become there becomes a digital version of themselves living in this space. And it starts dealing with all these different questions of, you know, what does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be an intelligence, what does it mean to actually procreate? I mean it's there are a lot of big existential questions. And one of the biggest ones inside of it is if I upload a human intelligence into a machine and give that human intelligence free reign to run, like all these different pieces and don't put any ch safeguards or controls on it, what's it gonna do? And like it explores all kinds of things. Like these things try to become godlike th these human beings that are in the machines try to become godlike entities and they're constantly fighting that problem. And they discover a problem where they know that they can't Do this forever because if they use too much processing power, there's basically a built-in termination layer that says once you get past X number of clicks, your consciousness dies. These are very great practical conversations about how we are integrating not just ourselves, but also the technology into ourselves and how it's not just becoming part of who we are as as organic creatures living in this meat space, but also how the cyberspace is going to have to try to figure out how to become more adaptive to organics.
Jeremy Grater: Mm-hmm.
Jason: Because this is not like a one off. This is this is gonna be a thing. Like we're gonna make digital babies. We're gonna make offspring that people become up become emotionally attached to. I mean, fucking kids became emotionally attached to the what are those little keychain pet things, Tamagotchis. Yeah,
Jeremy Grater: yeah, I forget what they're called, but yeah.
Jason: like the the Tamagotchis, they they became addicted to those. pe there are people that have been playing on the same fucking sim server for twenty years because they don't want to give this up because this is the the closest thing that they have to a relationship. And if you look at the way that we wire that we're wired neurologically, we are wired to look for something that gives us the kind of connection that we actually need and desire. And I I listened to this guy on Facebook today talk about this. Imagine that, you know, your parents give you an unlimited kitchen with all the food in it and you inherit it, and you decide you're gonna have kids and you have six little babies, and your six little babies have unlimited amounts of food and they're all taken care of. Everything's great, honky dory. Flip it around. Imagine you don't have food in the kitchen. And some guy shows up and knocks on the door with a bunch of candy. If you're a starving child, you're gonna eat the fucking candy.
Jeremy Grater: Mm-hmm.
Jason: You're not gonna eat the thing that's good for you. You're not gonna eat the eat the thing that actually feeds you, it gives you nutrition, that helps you grow up to be a big strong boy. You're gonna eat a bunch of things that makes you a fat, slovenly piece of shit that can't get around and move. Not because you want to, but because it's the only food source you have access to. and by the way, the food source is addictive because it gives you chemical dopamine responses, just like
Jeremy Grater: Mm-hmm.
Jason: sugar. It it activates all of the different biochemical feedback functions to talk about to help you be able to absorb and address what are real emotional connection and attachment issues. Because so many of us have attachment wounds from either neglect. Or abuse or rejection that we wind up looking for things that help us feel seen, help us feel like we're being met, and we don't give a fuck. Our subconscious does not give a fuck. The part of us that's actually controlling this is our limbic brain. It is not our conscious brain, it's the it's the prefrontal cortex stuff, it's stuff that's happening below your conscious levels of awareness. And you are looking for this and this affects every single person in the world everywhere. Just to different degrees. Some of us has of us have the ability to look at this and go, Okay, that's cool, and then move on. But There's a big portion of the population that never got the attachment that they actually needed, never got the attention they actually needed, and they're gonna seek it out and try to find it in different ways. And there are companies out there that are gonna exploit the fuck out of that. Because there's money to be made in your sorrow. my god, we just went down the dark rabbit hole of AI and we did not mean to do this. Sorry.
Jeremy Grater: Well, kind of, but kinda but but also there there is a speaking of of the human element of this, sticking with the with the candy and food analogy,
Jason: Yeah.
Jeremy Grater: the candy answer is the the fastest, easiest answer, which is what we also look for. We don't look for what's the
Jason: Exactly.
Jeremy Grater: hardest way I can possibly do this. That in that same analogy, that kid could potentially go out and hunt a squirrel, right? Hunt a rabbit, like go find something. But if you're never taught that that Meat or that plant or whatever it is that's outside is food, or you were never taught how do I turn that thing into food and someone shows up with candy.
Jason: Or if you were ever taught there was an outside world.
Jeremy Grater: Or that, yeah. I mean, so so you have to be shown these things. You have to, you have to find them one way or another. And usually that
Jason: Yes. Yeah.
Jeremy Grater: comes from your upbringing and what you saw and and what you've learned and what you've been exposed to. If you are exposed primarily to your digital device. From the day you're born, whether it's watching you know YouTube kids' videos or or whatever, playing games constantly, you never go outside and learn those things. And so you don't seek the hard path to find how much more rewarding the other side of that hard path is. You just know this makes me happy for a second. Now I'm sad. Now I'm happy again for a second. Now I'm sad. And you're just stuck in this constant loop of just constantly trying to reward your brain with the the quick and easy answer that satisfies you in the moment.
Jason: We see this at Gen Xers all the time, because we were raised by TV. We have an unhealthy attachment to media, music, television, and then we've evolved and adapted that to the little screens that we carry around in our pockets. And like, it's not like we're going, I have nostalgia 'cause I want to go back and watch the Cosby show. Like, no, that's not happening. But maybe if I'm feeling down, I might decide to go back and read. some of these things with instant access, full capacity k to connect to all these things to find the thing that actually gives me my neural map of how the world actually works.
Jeremy Grater: There's a reason why Seinfeld is still one of the most downloaded shows on the internet. Like the
Jason: Yep.
Jeremy Grater: that nostalgia bump, that familiarity, the comfort of knowing what's
Jason: Yeah.
Jeremy Grater: going to happen. It's a it's a repeatable, safe environment where you go to escape the pain and struggle of reality.
Jason: And and the weird thing is, is that it's one of those shows that crosses generational boundaries. So does friends. Like there's all these shows that are bubblegum based, that are very surface level connections, that don't dive very deep and they go into simple problem spaces. Like Ross and Rachel. We were on a break. Like
Jeremy Grater: Mm-hmm.
Jason: and we all laugh about it. But like I I have been in hard relationships. I th when when things get tough like that, like it's nice to be able to laugh about that, but I've also been the one crying and like emotionally devastated. And w we connect with a lot of these things in comical ways and in light ways because facing the truth of them is just too hard. And The computers, the AI, it's a way to you you you can fucking talk to Ross and Rachel now.
Jeremy Grater: Right. Yes, that's exactly what I was gonna say. It's a different world because
Jason: Yes.
Jeremy Grater: now it's not necessarily repeatable. It's interactive. And now you create these
Jason: Yup.
Jeremy Grater: entire new relationships where now you and Ross have a baby who lives at the bottom of the ocean in a box that has a library or something. I don't know. But but don't tell Axiom because that guy's a dick.
Jason: Yeah. It sounds wonder it's it it it sounds wonderful. No, he's already down there. Axiom's already there. He's already got fourteen kids down there. Yeah. Fourteen thousand kids.
Jeremy Grater: Research. my God. Okay. So AI interacting with Meat Space. MIT is always up to fun and interesting things because you know they're a bunch of dummies with nothing better to do. And they have done a couple of things that I wanted to make sure we talk about before we get out of here today. And one is you know, in the healthcare space, particularly in Canada, healthcare is I I love the system, it's amazing, but there is a shortage. There's a shortage. Doctors, shortage of physical therapists, shortage of resources for all the people that live here. That's not exclusive to Canada. But the folks at MIT have come up with a way to train robots to basically learn from physical therapists how to do their job. So instead of replacing physical therapists, we're looking at the idea of adding robots to the mix. So if you know, if if Dr. Jones is not available, then you know, Dr. Bot can step in and help. Manipulate and twist your body and do all the things to help you recover from whatever injuries or physical ailments that you might have. The way they're doing this is really interesting. to me, it looks like mo cap, right? Like motion caption, like when they're when they're making animated movies, when they're making video games, you know, you've got all the little balls and it sort of maps all of your movements. Same thing with these gloves where They're basically measuring the force sensitivity and and like how much manipulation is being done. And that's training the robots how much force to use when manipulating human beings to help them with the motion they need to recover from their injuries or whatever it might be.
Jason: Yeah, which is great. Like right,
Jeremy Grater: Yeah.
Jason: like it's nice to have something in there that can help you stretch and exercise and move that has the the potential that it has as much Capability as an actual human being. And I've sat to see multiple different physical therapists, and they've all had varying degrees of effectiveness, and some of them have been better than others. I hope they're training them with the good physical therapists. I also hope that when, you know, Elon Musk decides he's gonna sell Optimus, and this is what everyone's gonna wind up fucking using to do all of this, that nobody makes the Megatron downloadable content pack. and installs it or the starscreen version and it's a
Jeremy Grater: Yeah.
Jason: Take that megatron like just like busts your leg. Stop a scream. Like, that's the kind of shit that I'm worried about. Because I have been at a physical therapist where they've like decided that they had to st stretch my my right hip and like they're pushing my foot back, they're pushing my foot back, and it goes, clunk. And I'm like, We may have further injured me. And they're like, Yeah, sorry about that. I guess that gives you six more weeks with us. I'm like I guess that's not what I was going for. But yeah. And it they weren't doing a bad job, it's just that bodies are weird, people take certain types of input, like there's a lot of variability in this.
Jeremy Grater: That's the thing, like a a person can notice in that moment, oops, too much. I don't know that the robot's gonna have that same awareness to be like, sorry, I ripped your arm out of the socket and beat you to death with it. I didn't didn't mean for that to happen, but see ya Tuesday. Like

Jeremy Grater: So, but but very cool, right? Like another way that that we're trying to make things better. Sure, there will be casualties. More than the humans screw

Jeremy Grater: okay, so the last thing we want to talk about is how these models are learning not only from the gloves that physical therapists are using, but then now they're also learning from marbles. so researchers, again, MIT, nothing to do. They take a bunch of marbles, millions of them, bounce them around and have them bounce off of surfaces, stick to different surfaces, 3D shapes, things like that. And that's how they're teaching these AI models physics because it's great at writing emails, it can make an image.
Jason: Mm-hmm.
Jeremy Grater: Kind of sucks with you know the actual physical human space. They're finding that the AI models are learning this stuff incredibly fast. And so now they can start applying this to car crashes and simulations and what's gonna happen when when you know fast moving car hits not moving cars. what's gonna happen when wind pushes a plane in a certain direction or boat comes into into contact with a big wave, which Jason, you have some recent and recent experience with.
Jason: I do.
Jeremy Grater: so again, this is this is again very cool in that it's opening the door to how AI interacts with meat space.
Jason: it it's super cool. And the early portion where this type of research was actually done was actually in video games. And they were trying to create physics engines to go through and figure out a way to actually map the world and make it so that when you're you know, doing first person shooters and you're bouncing around, the physics feels right. Like you're supposed to fall a certain way, running's supposed to happen. There was a great game called Tribes back in the day. Like it was a huge multiplayer game. We could put a hundred and twenty eight people on a server and go to town and murder each other. And
Jeremy Grater: I remember early on it felt very dumb the way characters kind of floated through space and like you it felt awkward, but you're like, what else am I gonna do? Go outside.
Jason: It did. yeah. Like Yeah, like Doom Doom was ridiculous. It was hella fun. Like you had to go around smash zombies, break things up, but like the physics doesn't feel real. Like things didn't bounce off the walls the way they were supposed to. And then Quake shows up. And the Quake engine's really good and you can like see water moving and things going through. And then the Quake engine gets turned into the Unreal Engine, then the Unreal Engine turns into something else and suddenly there's all these physics pieces that are inside of it. A lot of us are like, I think we figured out physics, man. Guess what? The fuck you have. Because
Jeremy Grater: Ha ha ha.
Jason: you have figured out these things on a big macro scale for how they actually work, but what you haven't figured out is what if there's a one millimeter difference in the way these crumple zones actually work that prevents these types of bolts from breaking and dropping the engine on somebody's lap in a car crash? Like you can't replace that with video game level of interactions because the real world is much more. So it's fucking rad. It's gonna take a ton more processing power to make these things work. And what you're doing is this is like the first entry stage to make it so that when you're interacting with these things, the matrix feels fucking real. Because That's where this shit is headed. Like it's gonna make these virtual worlds. Like we were talking about that show, Pantheon, is about going through modeling those pieces, putting those things in that same kind of place. Matrix, same kind of thing, uploading your consciousness. Like this is where we're heading.
Jeremy Grater: Mm-hmm.
Jason: is it gonna happen tomorrow? No. Is it gonna take a while? Yeah. Are you gonna have access to it immediately? No, you're not rich enough. Like, lots of things are gonna be there. Yeah, yeah. Like
Jeremy Grater: Yeah. May not ever. You'll you'll be the one mopping the pee up off the computers to to keep them cool.
Jason: Well, keeping him cool, right. Or, you know, wiping the pee off of the meat suit that's plugged in. but I mean that that's the thing, is that like if you look at the way that they're trying to do a lot of this modeling, they're not trying to do it at a large macro scale. They're not saying, Let's just smash cars together. They're trying to get to the micro scale and the smaller scale. And there's another level that goes beyond this, and this is when we start getting things like quantum. And when you start talking about things like spooky interaction at a distance that don't follow regular laws of physics, then the computer has to understand the regular laws of physics and the boundary edges around that before it can start doing other cool math pieces. And quantum is fucking great. I mean, this is all the quantum computer pieces, breaking quantum cryptography, quantum teleportation, like all these cool technologies that can be unlocked. And you gotta teach the computer about the physics of the universe and then how those things don't work in this type of space. And as these things go through, you're gonna start seeing a lot more of these physical space, the physics side of things, the computational pieces, and then spooky interactions at a distance on the quantum side. Really what we're talking about doing is we're trying to pull all the different models of the ways that we know and understand the universe and interact with them together as a whole and try to make them computationally understandable, repeatable. and redefinable because we want to be able to interrupt things in all those different mediums, whether it's a digital medium, a quantum medium, or meat space. We want to be able to use those other tools to impact and affect those other realities that we're experiencing. This is where things get really, really interesting, philosophical and religious. Because we're no longer dealing with a strict isolation of something, because we will have the ability to do things like bring shit into reality that didn't exist before. Like Star Trek has this whole thing where they've got holodex that can bring in, you know, and make you feel like you're in the virtual environment. And they have replicators that can actually take electrons and turn things in into food. Like this is where we're heading. it's gonna take a long fucking time to get there. The amount of energy and electricity that's gonna take to make it happen is huge. And we're not gonna do it with our organic brains. We're gonna we have to use these kinds of smart digital brains to make ourselves better, more capable, more measurable, more understandable. And it's efforts like this that are gonna make that possible. Now, in the meantime, we have to spend a considerable amount of time pissing on computers so that we have enough electrons to actually be able to solve these kinds of problems. But You know, just like in Friends, where if you get stung by a jellyfish, I'm gonna pee on you. If the giant jellyfish is the fucking cost of AI, I'll piss on that too. Like, let's make this shit

Jason: happen. Right? Like, I want a food replicator. I am tired of having to drive to my favorite teriyaki restaurant to pick up my favorite teriyaki to bring it back home again. I want to go to my kitchen and say, Give me Miyako teriyaki. And it goes, Okay. And spits it out. Like, I want that shit. Yeah.
Jeremy Grater: That's insane. That's insane. Like like my my dumb brain just goes to like I finally, you know, I know I'm late to the bus here. I finally saw Hail Mary the the other day.
Jason: Yeah, great.
Jeremy Grater: Spoiler, at the end when he's you know on a planet and and the the robot rock thing that he's become friends with, he and his buddies have created this fake environment and they're kind of you know joking about the water's not quite right. You're getting close, it looks really good. And you wouldn't know, right? I don't know what the what the reality of the world was that he was on, but the one that he was in looked damn peaceful and and serene. And so I to me I'm just like, cool, we can get to that place when when we've completely ruined this planet and ruin, you know, just thrown it down the fucking trash. When we can just go, make it pretty again and I can go to the ocean and swim in it. That'll be awesome. I get excited about that kind of thing because, you know, I'm kind of giving up on the fact that the the planet's actually going to get saved at some point.
Jason: Yeah, and because we are limited to our five senses, the computer doesn't have to work that hard to satisfy the five senses. It just has to satisfy the five senses. The problem starts coming in, give me
Jeremy Grater: Yeah, gimme candy. Give me can I want the candy.
Jason: candy. Right. So now when you start talking about putting us into a digital format where we have more access to more things like more more spectrums of audio waves that we can hear, more visual spectrum we can actually see, more better understanding of heat and cold tolerances 'cause we can understand how those pieces actually move through us. Not a huge biological need to piss because we don't have to pee on computers to make these things work anymore. Things will change dramatically. Because you, as a meat suit, are influenced by your meat suit components. You are influenced by this fucking meat-covered skeleton that you drive and operate in ways that you probably wouldn't be if you didn't have to deal with the shitty biology that you're stuck in. When you start putting these this kind of mental consciousness and awareness into these things, the amount of physics that you enforce versus not enforce becomes an issue because are you gonna let everyone be Superman in this matrix? Are you gonna let everybody do blah blah blah blah blah whatever?
Jeremy Grater: And who decides?
Jason: Does everyone get their own version? How do these things happen? How do you spread this computational function across multiple different areas? Do I create my zones of control? What the fuck is reality? Can I actually be the center of my own universe? And the answers to all those questions are, yeah, probably. And it really is like that yeah.
Jeremy Grater: Yeah. But also like again, who decides, right? If if Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are the one making these making these decisions, I'm not really excited about the way they're gonna solve these problems.
Jason: I I I think this is a problem now. I don't think it's gonna be a problem. at the point in time where we can actually do this. And the other downside to this is that We've got this amazing technology and if you look at how most of our amazing technology has shown up throughout history, it's been an artifact of war. And and you can call it war or competition, or whatever we we wanna call it. Like the reason you have Velcro is because we had a space race. Like it was a space war. The reason you have powdered drinks that, you know Taste delicious like Tang is because of space. The reason why you have heating elements and the ability to keep yourself warm in the way that we do with engines and things like that is because people had to figure out a way to make things be able to move to be transportable for large scale combat. Like trains exist because of that. There's a thousand iterations on this. I suspect that AI will through the same kind of evolution. We will have a war, things necessity is the mother of invention. We're gonna crank those things out. How many of us survive that? That's a different question, and we haven't even gotten into an interesting other topic that we should get into, which is nanotechnology and wet nanotech versus dry nanotech and manipulating things at a molecular level and all these things that these AI systems are working on right now. This is when you know, it stops being science fiction and it starts being your reality. And for some of us that have been kind of in this futurist technology piece for a long time, none of these things are a shock. I'm looking at the scenes going, Yep. Michoac Michiyakoku Haiku like predicted this in two thousand. Like there's all kinds of fucking people that have written about this shit. The part that is really hitting and coming home right now, at least for me, is that I think we will probably skip to the neural brain interface and the uploading of human consciousness at a much faster clip than what we originally thought. Because

Jason: I think I I think we really think of ourselves as being super complex and I don't think we are. I don't I
Jeremy Grater: Yeah, and that
Jason: don't think we are.
Jeremy Grater: and that for the all the problems we face in the world feels like a really big bag of candy.
